George Wilson Profile
George has completed his training contract at JWK in October 2017 working at our Morecambe office in the Agriculture department supervised by Director Anthony Collinson and in our Lancaster office where he worked on various areas of Rural Litigation. During this time George gained significant experience with the First Tier Tribunal both in relation to boundary disputes and prescriptive rights. He finished his training in the Dispute Resolution department under the supervision of Director Martin Stafford.
In addition to this, George has been involved in numerous orders for sale involving ownership as joint tenants. However, George’s most exciting and unusual case was an Application for a Certificate of Bad Husbandry which is currently awaiting a decision.
George comes from a rural background and having a family based just outside Cartmel allows him to indulge his love of shooting.
An upbringing in the country sparked George’s interest in Agricultural and Rural Law having experienced first-hand issues between landlords and tenants as well as shooting rights. He is also currently playing an active role in the management of his family’s land holdings/estate.
In contrast to his love of all things rural, George has travelled extensively through South East Asia and hopes to continue travelling in the future.
